| Description: | The company's manufacturing plant in VA expanded it's product line with the addition of Sanyo, large, rooftop air conditioning units. In order to ship these large new products, they needed to construct loading platforms at the rear of a building previously used as a warehouse. Provided the soil borings to determine the bearing capacity of the soil under the loading platforms and prepared a layout plan for the concrete pads. In addition to the site plan, the County required a drainage and erosion control plan. The drainage plan had to accommodate stormwater runoff from a 2 year storm at a release rate no greater than the runoff rate of a 2 year storm before development. The drainage plan also had to accommodate stormwater runoff from a 25 year storm at a release rate no greater than the runoff rate of a 10 year storm before development. |
