Description:
|
The client manufactures fire extinguishers and various fire safety equipment. The construction of this equipment results in the production of many industrial wastewater streams which are combined and ultimately discharged to the local public sewage collection system. The sewer authority which regulates the discharge of wastes to the system had detected relatively high concentrations of oil and grease, dissolved zinc and cyanide in this industrial discharge.
An investigation of the source of these pollutants and provided pilot treatability studies of available technologies to control and remove them prior to the discharge from the facility were provided. A feasibility report outlining the recommended treatment options was presented.
