| Description: | A Water & Energy Balance program was developed for a proposed denim mill to be located in Latin America. The balance identified and quantified estimates of water, steam, fuel and electrical power usage requirements for site planning and engineering purposes. Based on the established balance, a design criterion was developed to optimize cogeneration facilities with respect to operating and capital costs. An analysis was performed that specifically determined the optimal combination of electrical and steam generation capacity in combination with heat recovery in the form of steam, hot water, and/or chilled water. |
