A comprehensive textile training course was presented to a major Colombian textile manufacturer and to SENA, a government agency responsible for textile worker trianing and certification. The program consisted of five (5) separate courses totaling ten (10) weeks of on-site training in Medellin, Colombia. Coursework included on-site training provided by ITT and NCSU faculty and manuals with reference materials and Powerpoint presentations in English and Spanish. Courses were directed toward supervisors and managers already familiar with textile manufacturing processes and provided advanced, state of the art materials. A total of 229 individuals attended the ten-week program. A FAQ site was established on the ITT website (www.itt.edu) to assist attendees with follow-up questions and observations. Course sessions included: Short Staple Spinning (40 Hours content), Weaving (40 Hours content), Knitting, (20 Hours content), Dying & Finishing (60 hours content), and Quality Control and Process Improvement Methods (40 Hours content).
