| Description: | A major denim textile manufacturer has a facility that discharges treated wastewater to the Cape Fear River in North Carolina, via a NPDES permit. The permit contains a TUa limit. Due to instances of permit non-compliance the facility was notified by a local environment activist group that the group was anticipating instituting a Citizens Suit under the provisions of the Clean Water Act Was retained by client's outside legal counsel to provide technical assistance in negotiating a settlement of the matter. Provided assistance in explaining the TRE process and providing specific information on the implementation of the TRE Plan at the facility. |
